Our first Christmas was amazing. The only thing that could of made Christmas more memorial would have to be having mom and dad down here with us. Steve and I had our first Christmas this year. We went all out from the tree down to the gifts under the tree. Our tree turned out perfect and so did the gifts. Santa was very good to us this year. We got lots of toys and clothes. We both spented Christmas eve working but we got to wake up late Christmas day. Nui woke up and fixed us breakfast. After breakfast we opened all of our presents. Later we went to Nui's mom's resturant to spend the afternoon with mom, her brothers and her sister -in-law. When we got home in the evening, we played with our new toys. Steve got a new ps3 and Nui got a new wii. Althought we had a wonderful time we still wished that mom and dad was here to enjoy Christmas with us. Hopefully next year they would be able to come down and be with us along with Scott, Donna, Alexis and Scotty. We are truly grateful for everything that we have but we would trade everything in just so the family would be here with us.

Thanksgiving 2008
Our first Thanksgiving together.. For some reason we failed to get a picture of the two of us together. But it ok, this picture is just as good. This is Steve with Nui's mom. Steve was extremely cute trying to see what mommy was doing with his turkey. Steve woke up at 8am to cook a wonderful Thankgiving dinner. He did such a wonderful job. We had so much food to eat it was unbelievable. We had: two turkeys (one roasted and one fried), mash potatoes, gravy, corn, mac and cheese, string beans casserole, sweet potatoes casserole, ham, ribs, and ofcourse mom's famous stuffin...(thanks mom). The stuffin were a great hit at the table. Nui thought that Steve was crazy by making his own stuffin but she was proven wrong, because it was the best stiffin ever! Steve did most of the cooking for a wondeful meal. Mommy came and helped with carving the turkey. Nui did most of the prepping and cleaning up. We had such an awesome time. It was a lot of hard work, but in the end, it turned out great!

Nui's first family visit
Steve took Nui to see his parents for the first time for the Ohio vs. Michigan game. Steve and Nui bought mom and dad new jerseys for the game. We think they love it. Both Steve and Nui had an awesome time with mom and dad. Nui couldn't ask for a better family to be a part off. Mom and dad made us feel like little kids again. They were extremely loving to Nui. They treated her like she was one of their own. Nui loves being in the family. She felt very comfortable with her new mom and dad. The weather was cold but Steve was determined to wear his game winning outfit. (ofcourse shorts) But because Steve was getting a lot of loving from mom and dad he failed to notice that it was freezing outside. It was awesome that Donna was kind enough to bring Alexis and Scotty up to see Steve and Nui. We had such a wonderful time with the family. We wish that we didn't live so far away, we would love to be able to see our neice and nephew grow up. We also hope that when mom and dad are getting ready to retired, they would actually consider moving in with us. We love you mom and Dad... And we misses you a whole lot of bit!
